(Poem) Song of the Siren

They say that her voice sounded heavenly.
They say she dwells in the sea.
I decided to find her.
She couldn’t be that far.

I sailed across the sea of people,
Into territory I’ve never felt presence.
The sea turned calm, all seemed normal.
That’s when I heard her voice.

She parted the sea with her sweet sound.
It was true as they said.
Her beauty matched her heavenly voice.
I was drawn to her instantly.

The sea erupted into chaos,
But her voice was all I could hear.
I let these problems go,
Because she is all I can now see.

A group of us, in a circle.
We ruin the lives of those we envy.
They call us heartless,
Maybe we are.
Do I speak for all of us?
A group of us, in this circle.
We try to make perfection.
They call us nobodies, but aren’t we somebody?
A group of us, in a dwindling circle.
Our ides started to differ.
Perhaps we aren’t all together.
Were we ever?
A group of us, in a circular room.
Our graves state our true identities.
Through death, we now know who is somebody.

We are here to snuff out those of Light.
Our war wages in the farthest depths of the galaxy.
This hero from our rival’s blood thinks he stands a chance,
But he is nothing and filled with idiocy.
The hero has been taught by the best,
He moves with agility and grace.
This is what was prophesized,
And it is him whom we must erase.
Our family versus that last of theirs.
Darkness will envelope all.
The hero and his family have no opportunity,
Over Lightning we will stand tall.
It’s not a matter of good versus evil.
It is what our founding father did
So we will follow that example.

Sleepless post: Those That Never Change

Disclaimer: Late Night/Sleepless post.
I write about so many characters in my stories that all have different personalities and usually adapt how they act to their respective environments.
I have to laugh when I see people I know always making the same decisions, regardless of who they hurt. It’s crazy that some people can’t change honestly. It is a fact I already knew, but recent circumstances has shown it again.
Characters that seem unmoving in their mindset could always have a different story away from narration. People can, however, be seen and heard a lot more often.

Steam and Twitch

I’m a writer that loves playing video games. Loads of fantasy and science fiction inspiration can come from playing video games.

I’ve streamed a bit on Twitch, but I hope to stream just about everything I play. I play a lot of single player games and some multiplayer ones. Some games include: Borderlands series, Garry’s Mod, Alan Wake, Don’t Starve Together, The Forest, and more.

It’s that time of year…

The holidays are among us. As Wal-Mart and Hobby Lobby stocked for the occasion several months ago, Halloween strikes the first of the major holiday season.

But to pc gamers, the holidays only means one thing. SALES!

I am an active user of Steam, a DRM for pc games. They are always having huge sales you will never get with console games (sorry console gamers.) Point and case, the Halloween Steam Sale.When I began my adventures into pc gaming, I would become broke within several days of one of these holiday sales. Gabe Newell knows how to get your money.

Now, this video is for the summer sale from this past summer, but I believe it still holds many aspects to any Steam Sale survival.

As for me, I’m going to ignore the sale this time, and continue in working on my sequel getting finalized. Just waiting on the cover really. Aside from waiting, the third installment of the Shattered Soul series is coming along nicely, and so is the first extension from the series. These next two won’t be far apart from my sequel, I’m making sure of that.

Welcome to the Real World

Something I’ve never liked to accept as an adult. The “real world” as many adults like to call being grown up and working 9 to 5 jobs that most people dread.
As a writer, I can’t stand that I have to work part time meet ends meet, but yeah I’ll do it because I have to. But I will not stop writing or stop trying to find a job related to writing.
I want to write, like any writer should. I know anyone and everyone can write, so the market is tough.
I know the “real world” is harsh and everyone can’t live their dream, but I’m not giving up. Everyone should get a chance at their dream.

(I sound like a terrible motivational speaker)
