I have two tumblr blogs set up. One is my popular DisneyTronBlog with almost 700 followers! (I don’t know if that really is a lot or not)

The other is a blog I made when I converted the first one to a Tron-based blog. It’s where I’ll post more personal stuff, like my poems, Alan Wake stuff, writing related pictures/posts. and non-tron things. Doctor Who pictures/gifs and other BBC shows will be shared on to there as well. It’s easy to find too. It’s just BrandanChapman. I’ll post my blog and journal updates on there as well.

If you’re a fan of Tumblr, this would be an easier means as to follow me, if you lack a Facebook, DeviantArt, Twitter, or even Google+. You can follow me just about anywhere online! If you like games, I like to stream on Twitch. I’ll post any of my decent streams on Youtube. I want to also start making vlogs. More to come on that. I may even read my book prologues for videos.

Never Surrender

Heading into my second year as an author I began to wonder if self publishing was right for me. Everywhere I read says that self publishing is the best option for a lot of reasons, including: “more money” and control. The control I get. I have the control over who I get to edit, what gets put in the books, and the artwork.

I get that self publishing gets more money, because you can choose your price and that in turn can make you the most profit.

I guess I am just bummed because I haven’t found my target audience yet. My books are aimed for teens to young adults, and even adults. But being science fiction/fantasy may be a hard genre.

I also don’t know if readers are interested in a series of books, rather than stand alone ones. I’m writing a series, hoping to add several more to it in the next year or so.

Even though my writing career hasn’t taken off yet, with just two books self published, I’m not going to give up just yet. Hoping a day will come that readers find my books interesting enough to read.

Steam and Twitch

I’m a writer that loves playing video games. Loads of fantasy and science fiction inspiration can come from playing video games.

I’ve streamed a bit on Twitch, but I hope to stream just about everything I play. I play a lot of single player games and some multiplayer ones. Some games include: Borderlands series, Garry’s Mod, Alan Wake, Don’t Starve Together, The Forest, and more.

My Sequel!

It’s a sci-fi fantasy novel with a steampunk theme, continuing my Elementalist series from Elements of Lightning.
You do NOT have to read the first book to read this one. This series will be spoiler free so you can hop in at anytime!

Editing Sequel

Working on phase one of the editing process of my sequel steampunk novel, Shattered Soul: Elements of Blood.
Following the events of the sci-fi book, Elements of Lightning, readers do not have to read the first one before this book. The Shattered Soul series will all be connected, but will not give any spoilers to other Shattered Soul novels out or to come.
With the release of the sequel, Elements of Lightning will be re-released with a bonus chapter, the prologue of Elements of Blood.
In other news, I should finally be getting an official website soon. A lot of obstacles came up in my life so I wasn’t able to yet, and the free site setups aren’t very appealing. I may be picky, but oh well.
The editing shouldn’t take too long. I hope Elements of Blood will be out before December, or a bit into December. Hey, nothing like a steampunk fantasy novel for a Christmas present, right?

Sequel! Sequel! SEQUEL!

Everyone likes series, right? Well I like the idea of writing them. I hope to catch people’s interest with my steampunk sequel to Elements of Lightning with not only a long coming series of books, but the idea that you could pick up any book in the series without the worry of having to read the ones before it. I hope this will bring in more fans if they get into the series after a few books are published. Or perhaps give people a variety of main characters while keeping to an overall plot.
Now it is still a series, so there will be references and links in the books for those who read it in order.
I hope by the time I am done writing the sequel, this will be apparent. Elements of Blood should be ready to go in the next few months.
