(Poem) Fantastic, Brilliant, Cool

Awful lot of running to be done.
Together we’ll have loads of fun.
Let’s not be too drastic!
You and I are so fantastic.

Quickly to Barcelona!
I know I just changed my persona.
Fine, let’s attend the holidays.
I’ll soon get back into my jolly ways.

A temp, a doctor, and back to the temp again,
Thinking next time I may refrain.
You were always so resilient,
and to me, you were so brilliant.

Fish fingers and custard!
Bringing your hubby will just make him flustered!
Always remember the first rule,
but foremost, remember to be cool.

(Poem) Faces of the Past Break My Hearts

When I met you it began with “Run!”

Together, seeing planets, we had so much fun.

My rose, you were so enthusiastic,

The both of us were so fantastic.

I have a new face, but you learned to love me.

I grabbed your hand and said “Allons-y!”

Our time quickly ran out before I could say,

I love you, on that fateful day.

I am trying to replace that feeling inside,

But to the rules of time I must abide.

I got to see you once before we even met.

You looked so brilliant.

Changed again, and I think of you from time to time.

My new friends were a whole new mountain to climb.

They left me, leaving me like a fool.

Because now I always think of them when I say things are cool.

One of my few Doctor Who poems I wrote for my first Creative Writing class.

(Poem) Forges of Confusion

Each day, another question asked.
Answers revealed only subtly.
Wondering how many days have passed,
waiting to get some sort of rebuttal.

Pounding away in the forges of confusion,
questions swirl around in the smoke.
Just a smith to get the resolution,
to get out if this before I choke.

The hand extended is the escape.
I want to take it without hesitation.
Will the hand I reach partake?
My heart aches at my procrastination.

I wrote this poem quickly for a Creative Writing class prompt. I can be rather terrible at rhyming.

(Poem) Two Hearts Love Twice More

It started with a rose.
Oh such a beautiful rose.

Even when I changed completely,
everything was still fine.

A rose that made travelling happy,
with a smile.

I lost the rose, one fateful day.
Oh how my hearts ached.

My love became real on that beach,
as much as I could’ve been there.

Time passed and I got to see you again.
Looking brilliant as ever.

But all of my waiting was in vain.
You have a part of me, but that part isn’t me.

I had to go, for the final time.
We may meet again, when worlds collide.

(Poem) Song of the Siren

They say that her voice sounded heavenly.
They say she dwells in the sea.
I decided to find her.
She couldn’t be that far.

I sailed across the sea of people,
Into territory I’ve never felt presence.
The sea turned calm, all seemed normal.
That’s when I heard her voice.

She parted the sea with her sweet sound.
It was true as they said.
Her beauty matched her heavenly voice.
I was drawn to her instantly.

The sea erupted into chaos,
But her voice was all I could hear.
I let these problems go,
Because she is all I can now see.

(Poem) We Give the Orders

A group of us, in a circle.
We ruin the lives of those we envy.
They call us heartless,
Maybe we are.
Do I speak for all of us?
A group of us, in this circle.
We try to make perfection.
They call us nobodies, but aren’t we somebody?
A group of us, in a dwindling circle.
Our ides started to differ.
Perhaps we aren’t all together.
Were we ever?
A group of us, in a circular room.
Our graves state our true identities.
Through death, we now know who is somebody.

(Poem) Ballad of the Dark

We are here to snuff out those of Light.
Our war wages in the farthest depths of the galaxy.
This hero from our rival’s blood thinks he stands a chance,
But he is nothing and filled with idiocy.
The hero has been taught by the best,
He moves with agility and grace.
This is what was prophesized,
And it is him whom we must erase.
Our family versus that last of theirs.
Darkness will envelope all.
The hero and his family have no opportunity,
Over Lightning we will stand tall.
It’s not a matter of good versus evil.
It is what our founding father did
So we will follow that example.
The first Dark Elementalist, Sid.

Poem based on the events of Elements of Lightning and Elements of Blood
